Today's B.E.D.M.A.S. Question

E - Exponents
D - Divide
M - Multiply
A - Addition
S - Subtraction
When answering this question, you must start with brackets. Since there are no brackets, you must go on to the exponents. Which is in this case, 8^2 and 2^2. You must start from left to right so you start with 8^2.
8 x 8 = 64
When that's done, you have to do the other exponent.
2 x 2 = 4
Then you have to divide. Which is the 64 ÷ 16.
64 ÷ 16 = 4
Then you have 4 - 4.
And then you just have to subtract that.
The answer you should get is 0.

Textbook - pg. 214, question #10.

You can answer this question by adding the fractions and convert them into it's simplest/lowest terms if needed.
For example, A is already in it's lowest terms so it stays the same.

Textbook: pg. 146, question #4.

These are the steps I took to find the answers to the questions.
*A RULE YOU MUST KNOW WHEN MAKING A RATIO TABLE:
-Whatever you do to the left side, you must do in the right side.
1. You must create a ratio table with a percent sign (%) on the left column & a number sign (#) on the right column.
2. On the percent column, you would have to put a 100 under it & any number under the number column.
3. You can multiply or divide to get your answer, but you cannot add nor subtract.
4. You can also add the numbers together when you multiply or divide them. But when you do, you'd have to do the same to the other side.

Converting fractions to Repeating decimals.

Textbook pg. 138, question 10.
Letter b.
You had to convert the fraction to a repeating decimal & put the bar notation to the repeating number.
1. I took the denominator, 3 and divide it by itself and turned into 1.
2. Divide the 2 by 3 because whatever you do to the bottom, you have to do to the top.
-2 divided by 3 is 0.6666...
-Repeating decimals go on forever.
Then I put a bar notation on top of the repeating number which is the 6.
The bar notation is the red line.
